Spring

Spring time brings back memories of Easter being so fun. It was one of your dads favorite holidays. He loved all the Easter egg hunts we went to. One big hunt that we always went to was the Murray park Easter egg hunt. This hunt was early in the morning, the last year we went your dad got the haul of a lifetime.  That year your dad wanted to go hunt with his cousin Scotty Jackson, I told Scotty not to help your dad but to let him find all of his own surprises.

Wow when they came back I couldn’t believe all of the stuff your dad had found. He filled up his bucket that he had brought along with Scotties coat (Scotty took his coat off so your dad could keep getting surprises). Scotty promised that your dad had done all the hunting and I believed him, it seemed from that time on your dad always got the most surprises at the hunts than any of his sisters or his brother. You should’ve seen the smile on your dads face, it was priceless.

Your dad had the best smile ever! He was always smiling and happy as a boy. Your dads grandma had a friend named Glenda that loved your dads smile, your dad was very charismatic when he smiled, the whole room brightened up when he smiled. Glenda had to come over every time I visited my mom so that she could see your dad. Glenda loved your dad so much that when her daughter Melissa had her first boy they named him Dustin after your dad.

I think Easter was special for your dad because he was born in Spring. My little Spring baby boy.
