I knew our time together would be short, right from the beginning. I even told Grandpa Rick and Auntie Alyssa that we should hang onto and value every minute of every time we had you or got to see you, because it would not last long. I remember every time you were with us and always will. Some things you can take away from someone but my memories of you and my love for you will always be there.
I remember the last day we were together, I don’t remember the exact day of the month but I remember you being with me and Aunt Alyssa that last day. We all sat out on the back porch talking, yes you would do your little babble talk to us. For some reason Alyssa and I started laughing. You had never laughed before but you looked at us and copied a laugh. So precious, we just kept laughing so you would laugh, you were so cute.
Some of my other memories of you are when your mom would put the car seat down on the floor, you would be sleeping but would wake when I picked you up. The moment your little eyes focused on me and I said “hi there baby boy” your face would light up in the biggest smile.
We used to watch educational videos on YouTube with you and you would stand in my lap with me holding you up and you would babble sing along with the videos, such a smart little baby boy.
I told you those stories because you didn’t do those things at home or at your other grandparents house only when you were with us in our house.
From the first day you started coming to our house you would talk and smile with me, Aunt Alyssa, and Grandpa Rick. You were just one month old but we knew each other, we all clicked, you recognized us Vash. We all had a soul connection. You might not know what that all means right now but some day you will. We had a bond that can not be broken. A bond that some will never have. A bond that was taken away from not only me but you.
I had a friend that was born on your birthday. My friend died a few years before you were born. I always thought it was strange that your mom went to the hospital to have you the day before and you just refused to be born until the next day.
Always and Forever
